What is your derby name and number? Care to share how you came up with them?
Strawberry Knockout 540 Its a high school nickname from running around with musicians and bands in the hardcore music scene and 540 is my area code from home.

I joined in August of 2014 after watching multiple practices; everyone was so welcoming and awesome! I hadn’t skated in years but I grew up skating on quads with my dad.

How did you get involved with roller derby?
I had always been interested and found a team in college but didn’t have the courage to join. I saw the team at a festival in Waynesville where Nissa (Screaming Evil) skated up to me and said I Iooked like a derby girl. I replied with "yes I am."
What is your favorite part, or memory, of being a Wild Wood Roller?
My first practice I got geared up, stood up, and a coach came up to me and high fived me saying, "Whew derby!" and it knocked me down.
How has derby challenged and/or changed you?
It’s challenged me to meet people, make connections, and get up and do something for me! I love these women! I’ve also lost almost 20 pounds and can’t wait to improve myself even more!
What are your derby likes and dislikes?
I love the hard work and sweat, not to mention teamwork, but I dislike the constant pushing of myself while I’m doing it yet love the feeling after!
Do you have any pre-bout rituals?
Lil coffee, lil monster, and maybe some cigarettes (terrible habit).
Do you have any advice for incoming skaters?
Work hard, make friends, and enjoy yourself!!
