What is your derby name and number? Care to share how you came up with them?

Whiskey Dixie 187. Mama Bear from another derby team actually helped me with coming up with the name. We got Whiskey from when I was a whiskey girl at a bar I use to bartend at called Whiskey's. And got Dixie from me being a Mississippi gal. Got the 187 because I used to be a cop and it means Murder.

Skating Experience

I skated with another team for a couple of months then joined the Wild Wood Rollers in Feb of 2015. Other than that the last time I skated was in high school.

Position

Whatever my team needs me for!!!

Favorite Skater

Rowdy Bakken and Hound Dog

Gear Check – What are you using? What are your favorites?

Right now I still have Reidell R3 skates. My knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards are all 187. My helmet is Triple 8.

How did you get involved with roller derby?

A friend, Princess Jasmine, was involved with a team and she convinced me to come see what it is all about and I have been in love ever since!!

What is your favorite part, or memory, of being a Wild Wood Roller?

My favorite memory would have to be my first bout. But everything about derby with the WWR is my favorite. I love how it's a huge family and we all push each other and help each other.

How has derby challenged and/or changed you?

There are so many challenges in derby. There's a lot of hard work and dedication that you need to put into it. But the moment I take those skates off I want to put them back on and push myself some more.

What are your derby likes and dislikes?

I dont really have any dislikes, at all.

Do you have any pre-bout rituals?

Haven't come up with any yet. Just the excitement!!

Do you have any advice for incoming skaters?

The only thing I would say is come try it, give it your all, and have fun while doing it. It's very challenging at times, but embrace it and have FUN!!

Any parting words you’d like to share?

I LOVE DERBY!!!
